Here is my 1st practice portrait out of 200+planned. I used an acrylic olive green gesso underpainting doing a notan then used 2 slim Winsor&Newton oil bars: French ultramarine Blue and Raw Umber. It captured the essence of the photo but not exactly what I really wanted to happen. Did not like this medium at all, too oily, less control and takes a long time to dry. It was interesting and enjoyable practicing.No time in the studio for the last 2 days been doing other things. I really want to get my sleep and wake schedule to work better for me so I put out another petition(prayer) to God the Father thru Jesus. I know He is working things out and I need to trust Him to do His work and for me to do what I need to do with Him.
